Getting started

This guide walks through installing the Statera CLI, authenticating, and bringing a first service under management.

Requirements

  • Linux or macOS (x86-64 or arm64)
  • A Statera workspace and an access token
  • Outbound HTTPS to your control plane

Install the CLI

curl -fsSL https://get.statera.internal/install.sh | sh
statera version
brew install statera-cli
statera version

Authenticate

statera login --workspace acme

The command opens a browser to complete sign-in and stores a short-lived token in ~/.config/statera/credentials.

Note

In CI, set STATERA_TOKEN as an environment variable instead of running statera login.

Register a service

Create a minimal configuration file:

# statera.yaml
service: billing-api
environment: staging

settings:
  log_level: debug
  rate_limit: 120

Then register and apply it:

statera service create billing-api
statera apply statera.yaml

Within a few seconds the service dashboard shows the live settings and the first revision in the history.

Verify

statera get billing-api --environment staging

You should see the values from your file reflected back, along with the revision number and the time of the last change.
